It’s almost April and I’m still de-icing my car in the mornings.

    It’s very annoying.

Although they do say that a frosty spring means a hot summer to come.

Pop over to the weather forum. Analysis on a few threads seems to suggest that your last sentence is total horse****e :(

Hahaha, it's Ireland. Hot summers are a figment of your imagination, they don't exist.

Nothing unusual about a bit of ice at this time of year, the sun rose an hour later this morning which explains the ice on your windscreen.

I entirely know what you meant but I'm still smiling at the picture you've posted in my head of us here winding the sun back an hour

It was like 5 degrees but what temperature actually was it?

I cycled into work this morning and never saw a bit of ice anywhere.

First time this year without a base layer on too.

Sorry to dissapoint you OP, but I just checked the Craggy Island Examiner and the headline was

Frosty mornings in spring just mean clear skies at the moment. Nothing more.

I love the bright, fresh frosty mornings.
