    Hi,
I have my test next week mid. While practicing on the road, i gave little time on bay parking. Though now I am started to practice parcking, still not able to park the car straight( by born I have problems in leveling!!!). So, how will it effect if i parked like that at the end of the test. Is that going to be a grade 2 or 3 unless I am not blocking other bays?

So long as you park reasonably within the lines you'll be okay. Honestly I wouldn't worry about it too much. So long as you're not parking sideways across three spaces you should be fine!

Reverse park before going in for the test so that you can just drive out for the test.

On returning just drive forward into a space.

    Hi,

Some learners do not realise that the back wheels do not follow exactly the front wheels when they have to turn into a bay. (Most have no trouble when driving straight in) Therefore for the car to end up centred the front wheels must take a wider arc. Cross or even encroach into the next bay with the front wheels if you must turn in from a right angle.

I never park forwards in a bay. I always reverse in, then it's easier to drive out. My instructor made me do that when I took my test in the UK. But as it's your test, then why don't you practice in a quiet spot of a supermarket car park?

First time i ever even parked in a forward bay was when i was driving back into the test center after my driving test. The tester just said park it over there and i nearly panicked as i had never actually parked a car before. I had only ever drove my instructors car with him in it.

    Still passed though.

Oh God! I did exactly the same thing on my test. I just threw the car in, I was so nervous...Everyone else was parked nicely, and my little Nissan Sunny (Am I showing my age??) was parked skewith! I was mortified when I got out of the car.

But like you Skatedude - I still passed! :D

Just do the test in a BMW then it obligatory to park in at least two spaces.
