I know it was abolished in 2012 but it says that you can still claim 80 per year back for the past four years. My mother in law has done this yet when I rang them they said it was abolished in 2012.

Is this familiar to anyone or am I completely missing something here?

    Thank you

Gone since 2012 means it can be claimed for any year after 2012 as it didn't exist. The 4 year rule is a general rule in relation to making claims for any relief etc that exist in the prior 4 years to you making a claim.
