Tesco Extra Maynooth had no Xboxs on display. They had one Xbox in stock (Forza) which was discounted to €199.

It is the latest version of the entry-level model.

There is a more powerful model called Xbox One X, which is mostly aimed at 4K TV owners or people who just want the most powerful.

Driving to Gorey from Dublin today, any big Tesco Extra's on the way that might be worth a gander?

€149 is my sweet spot 8)

I got my 360 in a similar fashion *years* ago. Tesco said a price drop was coming, and back then price changes rolled over at 4am. Hopped on the first Luas in the morning from town, and was back in the apt by 6. Madness.

    Would do it again!

    Yep, same.

The only thing stopping me buying the One at the minute is no VR.. the more I see of VR on the likes of Dara O'Briain's Go 8 Bit, the more impressed with it I am. PS4 + VR Capabilities will set you back about €500 though, even with the VR Price Drop today.

I think it'd be about €600 for a new PS4 + VR, even with the price drop. If you already have a decent PC, VR on that platform is a lot better than PS4....though if not, the cost is pretty horrendous (realistically about 1.3k minimum for entry level VR PC + Oculus).

    Jaysus, you're right!

    Yeah, a Mac user primarily, so that's a no-go.

So, without VR, torn between Nvidia Shield TV and Xbox S at the minute.

Nobody has reported getting one. I don't even know if OP got one or just saw a sticker.
