Looking for mini CCTV to monitor car

    Hi,

I live in an apartment complex and recently I found my car tires flat a couple of times and I suspect this is no coincidence. Without spending a fortune on a CCTV system, I wonder if there is any small CCTV recorder you can suggest, so I can place it by my car overnight until I catch who is doing this? I would need 10-12 hours recording time.

    Thank you for your help.

you could rig up a dashcam but it would need connecting to a circuit that is always live - risks draining the car battery though so not sure it's a good idea. GoPro have a good battery life but gives a reason to break INTO you car to grab it! A motion sensing standalone camera would be best, but you're not going to get Solar power that most require! I'll ping you a possible solution, it's not cheap though!

Get a hunting trail can like the one below. Will record once motion is detected. Battery lasts months.
Will easily cover your needs for less than 60 quid

This is actually pretty cool as my plan is to put it on a wall nearby pointing towards the car! Beside it's cheap and I can also use it on holidays for entertainment :)

EDIT: ordered it, can't wait to put it to use! :)

Hi, I've just posted a similar query to you... how have you got on with that motion cam? Would you recommend it?? Did it do the job? Thanks
