Quantity surveyor, architect, where to start?

    Hi, looking for a bit of advice.
    House is badly in need of some renovation, and it is very small for the 5 of us (3 kids).

    But no idea what we should be thinking about - extension? Actic conversion? Or something within the house? Also insolation/heating is shocking, etc.

    Wondering where to start?
    I need someone to come in and look around the house and suggest some ideas.

    Is that a quantity surveyor or someone else?

    Architect is probably best bet for ideas.
