    Hi all

I have a soak pit that does soak so well anymore, had an issue with drains not draining so I got them cleaned by dynorod, the guy said that he reckoned the soakpit was clogged and not effective anymore. My question so is diverting the waste water pipes a viable option or not, it is a traditional tank , emptied this year and working fine,

Many thanks for reading and suggestions welcome.

If you're diverting all your rainwater etc. into your septic tank, you have to be certain it can actually handle the extra volume.

There may be nothing wrong with the Soak pit. The amount of Water presently in the ground is staggering due to the none stop rainfall over the Winter Months. Soak pits, Wells and Septic Tanks are suffering from the very high Water table. I'd be inclined to wait until mid summer before deciding to rip things up.

We think our septic tank needs emptying. Do you think there's any point if it's a possibly a water issue?
It's not that long since it was emptied before.
There's definitely a problem, but we're not sure of the cause.
Emptying the tank is the easiest thing to try first we think?
