Peugeot 407 heater flap repair - Waterford

    Hi all,

My heater flaps have broken again on my 407 and I was wondering if anyone could recommend a Waterford based mechanic who would do this for a reasonable price.

I've seen some old threads recommending a guy in Longford and another in Mayo but that's not really an option for me!

The chap who did it for me the last time is no longer available for mechanic work.

    Cheers

    No worries

By the way, you could actually give it a go yourself

Cheers but I have zero mechanical skills. It would end in tears.

I have discovered that I can force one vent to cold and one to hot and that way it covers off summer and winter and it won't cost much. Takes about an hour.

Would break my heart to fix it again (3rd time in 7 years)

Check with T & C Motors in town for a price to fix it, then check with a few local indies if they are willing to have a go.

Broken flaps are no laughing matter.

Just an update on this for anyone else who might face the issue.

You can lock the heater fully hot or fully cold by taking off a few covers either side of the centre console and putting a screw in to hold the flap in the fully hot or fully cold position.

Put drivers side fully cold and passenger side fully hot so can choose which I want.

    1.5 hours and I'm happy.
