New pieces at side of South ring. For speeding?

    At a few points of the ring there is sections being made at side of the south ring. Size that you'd park a car or can.

    Anyone know what there for? Looks like it would be perfect for a speed van

    I would assume they are for breakdowns. Or emergency stops, so to keep the hard shoulder free.

    Probably Garda observation areas like they have on the motorways. There is one just before the Douglas flyover heading west, they have been 'building' that one for ages.
