    Hi all,

I am wondering how often does the HSE/Tusla recruit grade III AND IV clerical officers?

    Thanks.

The interview process is on going for this, the closing dates were last year so you will probably have to wait a year or so until it comes up again but keep an eye on their website

Yeah, I'm actually following the thread. But I was unsure how often they (Hse/Tesla) recruit. I assumed it was ever two years similar to the Civil service. But that was purely an assumption.

Another thing I've read on the thread, is that it's very difficult to get in.

    Thanks anyway for the reply.

Apologies for the late reply and im assuming you already know the format at this stage but none the less:

Panel of 2, very nice people and extremely good interviewers.

    3 questions total:

    1) Demonstrate organisational skills - straight to the point, no fluffy stuff as in "what did you do"

    2) Working as part of a team - give an example that was not on your application

    3) When something you suggested didnt go your way, how did you deal with it and how did that make you feel?

Looking for very concise answers, soon as the time was up on a question they moved on, bu to be fair for what I assumed would be a daunting interview process it was actually quiet the opposite despite what I had read prior to interviewing.

400 applicants interviewed as far as I had been made aware with the outcome in 7-10 days.

Hope your friends interview went well :)

Like how many Clerical Grade 3 positions come up on average over a 3 year period?

Thanks Aine, I've placed in the top 10 which I'm happy about but I'm also on the Wexford list of applicants who are waiting to hear about interview. Working off of my Waterford application and interview I'm hoping to make that panel, which I would prefer as I'm a Wexford native (my partner is Waterford) So need to make a call on where we might end up living down the line.

She does not know how many places are opening up in Waterford. I have applied to Wexford myself but to date no word on an interview. Good luck to you.

Apparently there is to be quite a large recruitment for Clerical throughout the county. New medical centre opening in the City which is taking a lot of people to fill, along with recruitment in both the hospital and HSE on the Cork road. I can see them getting through the first hundred or so quite quickly over the coming months. As you are in the top 10 you should get an offer very very soon. Well done on the result.

I did the Waterford interview and they more told me what the job was more than asking how much I knew about it

Interview is really structured to help you. My advice is know what you put on your application form inside out and you will be fine.

    Best of luck!!

I got no 106 and I rang and was told that only the first 50 people will get offers which is a joke.

Hi, there do you think the permanent posts offered will be filled by current temporary clerical officers first.

Also, does anyone know if HSE tend to keep on those people who accept temporary specified purpose contracts. E.g. if you're offered 6 months will they keep you over the contract date...how does it all work, anyone with prior experience in this field. Thanks in advance.
