Looking for celebrant (non-legal ceremony)

    Hey guys,

We're getting married in Wicklow in the summer and are looking for someone to run our ceremony. It will be a non-legal weekend ceremony as we're doing the legal paperwork thing a couple of days before our wedding.

We've tried contacting a few agencies etc but haven't really clicked with any of the celebrants suggested. The pressure isn't really on as we're still considering having family/friend take the role, however, can anyone recommend someone who could help run our ceremony in a casual, efficient way? We're not looking for someone to go overboard in pretending to be our oldest and best friend etc.

    Any leads appreciated!

A Neurotic, I had to check that I hadn't started this thread myself! Would definitely be interested in hearing the options out there, along with prices.

Check out the Irish Celebrants Association, there are lots of civil celebrants listed on their website. I am a celebrant myself but based in Galway so not much use to you :D Happy planning!

I'm involved a bit in the wedding industry and I see lots of people are using celebrants now instead of humanists etc for various reasons so there is a good selection of people available. The lovely thing is you can have any kind of a ceremony you want. Try the following:
