    Hi all,

Just looking for some advice. Rang one place who told us once we didn’t go over 5.5kw we could keep surround etc and don’t need chimney lined.....supply and fit €850. Our house was built in 1998. Another place said we need to get chimney lined....supply and fit €3k!!!!

    Thanks in advance

Chimney lining is just good practice, no matter what size stove.
Supply and fit including a stove or without stove?
Stoves vary in price massively, are you getting a fiesta or a bugatti stove?

    Always compare like for like.
The materials to fit a stove should cost approx 4-500, vermiculite, lining, lining adapter, cowl and sealers.
Labour might be up to half a day, possibly need a cherry picker to get to roof.

All thats before we go into the stove.

Just do your research on stoves.
Dont just get any stove unless you really dont care about performance and style of it.
