I completed works in 2014 where i spent about 5,000 on my house. i did the works my self as i didn't need a contractor. Can i still claim this as i have the invoices of the materials i used.

Now if i am about to do a major extension and its costing more than 30,000 i can claim for the HRI. but if u had claimed for the item above will they take that into account when accessing this claim.

My questions is 2 parts can i apply for the HRI or the 1st bit of works i done.
HRI claim is to a maximum of 30,000. can a person claim twice as its 2 differenent jobs?

    No.

"To qualify for the tax relief, you must have paid Value-Added Tax (VAT) at 13.5% on the work done to your qualifying property. "

Are you going to employ a registered HRI contractor for the second job?

Because if not then you can't avail of the HRI scheme.
