Bell box flashing

    I got a siemens spc alarm installed 4 years ago. I had the bellbox wired as I didn’t want to be replacing batteries every couple of years. I just noticed the bellbox is flashing. No alarm sound....no warnings. My best guess is that there is a backup battery that needs changing, but I thought I would ask here to see if anyone knows. The alarm hasn’t been set off for a couple of weeks and is used daily.

    Probably a separate issue, but the spc app is not connected to the alarm anymore. I rarely use it, but it’s something else I noticed tonight.

    May have been a fail to set.
    Enter your code & arm then dis arm the system should clear it.

    Afraid not. I tried perimeter and full-set. Still flashing.

    Is the bell activating when you set off the alarm.?

    The alarm seem to set as normal. I haven't intentionally set it off to see if it sounds. I have only set and unset and nothing other than the flashing is amiss.

    Could be a short on the cable sending - to the strobe or it could be the output on the panel stuck/faulty.
    You could try a power cycle of the panel.

    I did a power cycle. Disconnected battery and killed mains power for a minute. Strobe is still flashing. When I had the panel off, I wasn't able to find a wire for the bellbox. I have a PIR on the landing and another in the hallway. These wires were traceable, but there does not seem to be one for the bell-box, which is what I asked the installer to do. I'll have another look tomorrow, but it appears the bellbox is a wireless one.

    I doubt it is wireless. What make of bell is it.
    Have you any way to get up an see if the lid is 100% closed?

    The bell was installed with the siemens spc alarm. Company name C***a

    It’s sort of triangular in shape with a blue strobe at the bottom built in

    It's a Pyronix Delta Bell..
    That would be wired.
    My next step would be to check the lid is fully closed. After that the wiring.
