I have a 05 Corolla h/b with the standard radio/cd setup, I'm wondering is there a relatively inexpensive way of installing an aux connection to play through the speakers? My car audio knowledge is fairly limited so apologies if this has been asked before. Any suggestions welcome?
Based in Galway so if anyone can reccomend somewhere that does the job that would be ideal.

There’s a kit you can get that plugs into the cd changer port in the back of the radio. It’s quite easy to DIY unless you’re totally useless at that sort of thing.

The bury cc 9048 is a great Bluetooth car kit that connects into your radio harness without any hassle.
It’ll post music from your phone and all that

How much is a Bury plus a harness?

Which of the above options would be cheapers? And Colm, yes I am completely useless at this sort of thing. Took me an hour to fit a headlight bulb recently so I resigned myself to the fact this is not my strong point :D.

Far as I know you should be able to get one for about €40-50 delivered from eBay. There are loads of online guides on how to get the radio out but any mechanic would be able to do it for you if you can’t.

There’s no actual wiring to do, just plugging in the back. Hardest bit is taking the radio out (or putting it back in)

The head unit is bolted in on those. You need to remove the plasic trim around the gear stick(you don't have to remove it completely just enough to give you access)

Then you need to grab the bottom of the heating controls fascia and pull it outward. It should come loose without much hassle. Once out you will see the bolts holding in the vents.

You need to remove these bolts and then remove the vent unit surrounding the head unit(the head unit is bolted to this and the whole lot needs to be removed in one piece) once out a bit you will be able to disconnect any cables and get access to the rear of the head unit.

You don't need to unbolt the head unit from the vents as you will already have access to the, rear of the head unit.
