    Hi all ,
We want to fill in a hole on a tiled floor on concrete that's roughly 6 inches diameter by 1/2 deep. Is it possible to mix some cement (which we have) and water to do this so as to screw a sink pedestal on it or do we need sand and gravel as well ?

    You need sand and cement.

If you have tile adhesive left over, use that

Katy you need the sand to give the cement some strength overwise it just crumbles.

Pretty sure Woodies sell bags of sand and cement pre mixed.

That hole does seem quite small from what you're saying, I'm sure a strong filler world do the job. Have a chat to them at a builders merchant.

Going by your measurements, you need about 221ml

Depending where you're based, Chadwichs do 10kg and 25kg bags of Kilsaran 3:1 Sand&Cement mix. Although I find Chadwicks relatively expensive it would be miles cheaper than Woodies who I find generally has nothing for the DIYer. 25kg bags are 7.67 so suspect the 10kg bags would be 3.50 or so.
