    Hi all,

Trying to remove back arm on a MF 135. The inner arm ball is siezed onto the pin, it has been soaking in penetrating fluid. I don't want to cut the arm and cut off the ball as I want to re use it. Any ideas on how to get it moving?

Heat and shock would be a possibility. If you had a forked ball joint separator it might go in behind and help force it out. Failing that, the pin is removable from the rear housing and could be replaced with a new one. Would involve a bit of deconstruction to get at it from inside though.

Tried heat, even cut arm off and still could not get the ball to move!!. I did not think of the ball joint separator. Don't want to go down the road of deconstruction, going to get someone to try and burn it off with gas....one of those small jobs that turned into a big one.....

Seeing as you've already cut the arm off, you might as well gas off the ball. Not the most expensive thing to buy new.

Why not just pull off the trumpet housing unbolt it and go to a press...................
