I am just wondering is there any need to manually complete entries in the blue book when registering calves etc if you are registering them online via agfood?

All the relevant details appear in the herd profile on agfood.

    Thanks

If you are registered online you do not need to fill blue book. IF you have an inspection you need to either print off a copy of herd register or let them have access to your herd register online.

You need to go into “animal identification and movements” on the agfood menu and click on “register for use of on-line register”.
If you dont do this you still need to keep filling in the blue book.
I still fill in the blue book even tho i dont need to. Its handy for recording weights, prices and kill out data for animals.
You can look back and see how bad prices were in years gone by!!!

I’ve followed that link and registered.

Is there anywhere animal remedies data can be recorded on agfood?

No animal remedies in agfood you need something like herdwatch for that.

Is there a tab on agfood site where you can put in a search for what cattle exactly were on the farm say two or three years ago?......where they were sold? etc Helping a neighbour update his blue book and I got him registered on agfood and hope to get his book up to date this week.He is a good stockman but paperwork not a strength.

When you view animal profile you can change the profile date at the top of the screen.
You can also view which animals were moved in or out of the herd between any two dates you pick (as long as the two dates arent more than 12 months apart i think).
Go into herd then view animal movements by date.
If you click on the tag no it shows were it was sold.
