As above.hotpoint dryer wont go off drying cycle.tried turning it off at wall and at the machine itself.anyone any ideas?

if the dryer wont stop working by even turning it off at the socket/isolation switch you have two problems, no 1 the isolation switch and no2 if it is an older dryer with a electro mechanical timer that is also faulty. unusual to have two problems creating the one issue
