I got a few slaps off my mum over the years, never over the top mind, and looking back I totally deserved them, cos I was a little **** at times. Having two kids of my own now, it baffles me to see how people could do what your mum did to you, and makes me appreciate what I had even more.

Of all the other crap that has gone on in my life, and the highs and all the lows, the person I could always rely on, was my mum.

A card and some flowers could never portray what she means to me.

Happy Mothers Day to all the amazing mothers out there.

It's a bittersweet day for me, I have my own kids but I have such negative associations with the day and my own parent I don't feel good about it and don't do it.

Im thinking especially today of those missing their mums and those who have a parent who made their life a misery.

Same as. Mother's Day stirs up all kinds of feelings for me, most prominent, unimaginable anger.

Happy Mother's Day to all the Boardie Mums, Mams, Mummy's, and Mammy's, and of course the Grans and Granny's too.

And to my own Mum, who had done so much for me, and continues to, would probably be lost without you. Gran, you too are also very important part of our lifes as well.
