Dishwasher - how to detatch outlet.

I think that broken glass was ground up by the pump and is now stuck in the outlet pipe?
Is that even possible? The noise sounded very much like broken glass and now the water is not draining.
We've looked underneath the dishwasher to find where the outlet is attached but it is tucked into another layer. I removed one side and found the motor but no access to remove the pipe.
Cracking up here, is there an easy way to get at it?
I've already removed and cleaned out filters so must be further in.

If you don’t get it sorted here try the Home Appliances Forum

Suggest you give make and model number to get better response.

The glass or other blockage is probably in the pump. Have a look at this video. It's bosch, but a lot of models seem to be similar enough.

Some models mention this process in the user manual.

Thanks for the video, I'll check. I was getting nowhere on Google, noticing related came up. Mine's kenwood and only a year old.

Have a look down there anyway, see what you find. There is a strong possibility this happened because the filters were not sitting firmly in place.

This one shows the where the outlet meets the pump.

Managed to detatch outlet pipe and tip out some water but nothing obvious blocking it.
I tried to run machine with that part disconnected to see if water comes through as far as there but I can't run it as it gives an error thinking its leaking. Which it is I suppose as I've disconnected it.
Not sure what to do next. Reluctant to buy a new one as its not old.
Is it something a handyman or plumber would fix or waste of time and money on a call-out.

    Definitely nothing blocking the impeller?

You should be able to get someone to fix this, it's probably worth it because the machine is quite new.

What's the impeller and how do I open it?
I still have the side off and willing to give anything a try!

The impeller is part of the pump. The pump is in the base of the machine. You access it behind the filter, as shown in the video I linked to.

Thanks Antonio, I watched it again and tried to see if mine has the same thing. This isn't an similar impeller in mine. No screw or lift off type thing. Ive taken a photo of the part under the filter. There's a white cap type round lid here. Is this my impeller? I can use a pliers to grab it, I'd say.
I'll try and add the photo now

The thing you see isn't the impeller. It's a cover to protect the impeller. You need to remove the cover. Be gentle with it of course, but on the one I did it took a little bit of a push.

Look at these videos too, they come at it from another angle, if you can't reach the impeller from inside of dishwasher:

(I have never done this procedure myself.)
