Reliable and nice spec for a cheap hatch.

I'd imagine their middlen on fuel depending on how their driven.

Gearbox bearings can give bother but it's not too common.

    Grand car, just check insurance.

They’re reasonably economical, you should be able to manage low 40’s mpg and into mid to high 40’s on long runs.

The VTEC in those engines is the economy version (VTEC-E) and so long as it’s had regular services then it should still be able to attain near factory MPG figures.

I scrapped my 01 one just last week.
That one posted is the facelift one and great spec.
I put over 130k on mine over the years..... Great car overall.
They do like drop links but very easy to do. Timing belt every 60k miles too.
I averaged 38 to 40mpg on mine with mixed driving.
Very useful too as it's a hatch..... Great for carrying awkward loads.
The radio in the one posted is the original too... They go faulty after a while but simple to change out.

Insurance was a pain in that very few companies would quote..... Munster insurance were the ones who I used when I had that car.

    Highly recommend
