    Hi

Im thinking of setting up my own company producing food based products for retail. These will mostly consist of dry powder based products which I will blended with other powder ingredients and package.

My question is when im looking at property to buy for this purpose, should i be looking at retail or industrial properties?

Im aware that there are strict requirement for premises to be given to ok from an EHO to allow the manufacture of food products. So most industrial units seem less suitable that retail properties for sale.

Most industrial units seem to have steel walls and ceilings etc whereas i think i would need a commercial kitchen standard facility.

So retail outlets i see for sale seem like there would be less work to meet requirements but would the planning permission for retail outlet permit this?

Would i have to retail my product and manufacture in same premises to meet the zoning requirements?
