Why is one trial making the front page every day, but the other trial is not?

Just wondering why a certain court case in Belfast at the minute, is making the front page of the daily papers here, but the other court case involving a former Irish bank CEO is not making the headlines.

The bank CEO's case is being reported on, and the case gets some coverage in the Indo and other papers, but nowhere near to the same extent as the court case in Belfast.

    Really - you're "wondering"?

One is a supposed group rape of an innocent young girl by famous sporting people where the reader/viewer gets to debate as to what really happened. Are they evil monsters or was she a "slut" who was afraid of what people might say about her and has twisted the story so she was "raped" as opposed to "drunk and horny". Every day, the reader gets to read about blowjobs and "spit-roasting" and either fantasize that they had experienced sexual acts like that or tut-tut about how it's "disgusting"

The other is a 10-year old financial story that, while it has been discussed at length for the last decade, is far too complex for 99% of people to comprehend, (who, like the story above, want to drop people into good and evil columns) and is now been tried to see if any actual crime was committed. Every day, the reader gets to read that someone they never heard of sent an email to another person they never heard of that mentioned financial jargon they don't understand.

    Really - you're "wondering"?
