Unable to get RTE 1

    Hi, cannot get rte1 on Saorview. When I can the picture/signal is very bad. I can view be3, rte+1 perfectly. Any idea why it won’t show?

    When I auto scan sometimes it doesn’t appear. I have astra 28.something as the satellite

    I searched again just there and it appeared and is showing just fine. However when I turn the channel on later in the day it will lose signal or picture will be bad

    Saorview isn't a satellite service, & usually when you have good reception for those other channels you mention, you should have RTE1 the same, as they are part of the same multiplex.

    What kind of receiver is involved here?

    Similar thing was happening to us with TV3. It would regularly break up or disappear completely but the other Saorview channels were ok. Only on one tv too. Eventually got a guy in who discovered a fault in the signal. Added a new ariel just for that room as the cable from the existing one was inside the wall and haven't had a problem since. More than likely a fault with the cable from the ariel.

    Hi , just wondering if you got this sorted?
    My mother is having the very same problem. All other channels are fine but RTE1 keeps breaking up.
