I suspect this might be more sinister than it appears - there are a number of characters from Asian languages which have recently been causing certain smartphone operating systems to incessantly boot-loop. I can't help wondering if some of the symbols embedded in the strings being posted are designed to f*ck with peoples' phones.

Auto generated accounts registering and spamming from Korea. Currently looking into a tech solution to block it at source.

Causes a right mess to clean up. I’ve banned over 100 accounts this morning alone, a good few before they’ve even posted.

Boards should require new registrants to confirm theyre real via standard rate sms. It would cut down on the number of re-regs and stop bots entirely. Allow new users from outside the EU to access international forums only until they confirm their identity
