Door locks required for home insurance

    Hi All,

My new home insurance policy states that "Final exit doors must be secured by a mortice deadlock with at least 5 levers or by multi-point locking system with either a lever or built-in deadlocking cylinder"

Both my front and back door have a standard lock (like a yale lock) and a chubb lock. Does this qualify as a "multi-point locking system with either a lever or built-in deadlocking cylinder?"

Both doors are very very old, and I am terrified that I have to replace them since I simply do not have the funds.

    Any advice?

    Bunty

What you have is probably ok , if you look at the face of the chubb lock it should be stamped on it how many levers it has. Can you put up some pictures

Thank for that - hopefully you are right. I will post photos tomorrow as I am not there now.
