Command Strip pulled plaster off wall

I followed the instructions to the T, but a large Command strip ripped a good chunk of plaster off my kitchen wall. Hard to tell the size from the photo but it's about 4 inches high, and revealed the block underneath.

My question: Can I apply PolyFilla to the block, then prime, then paint? Or do I need to put plaster on the block first? Basically, is PolyFilla plaster?

    Thanks!

thats notthe block you see its the plaster under the skim.

normal filler will be perfect. might need 2 coats to do properly but no problem

It looks like there was a bonding issue. When you tap the plaster in the vicinity of the hole, do you hear a hollow sound?

Too late to check. I've the filler on already. But if it happens again I'll check. Thanks
