Calves sucking navels

    I’ve noticed calves sucking each other’s navels a lot this year. Any tips to get them to stop? Thanks

    No started off on a bottle and teat for first few feeds then on to buckets. Still mad to suck.

    the less feeds on teatbefore buckets the better. but the only way to stop them now is stockham tar

    If you leave them I the teat feeders I found they don't suck navals.

    Thanks for the replies. I’ll try the Stockholm tar. Hopefully that’ll do the trick.

    Stockholm Tar Spray is easier to apply ...but its gone by the next feed....if that helps
