New low budget laptop

Hi,
I'm considering buying a refurbished laptop from Dell.

It will be used for browsing the web, movies and programming. Nothing very demanding but I'd need a full HD screen and 4gb ram or greater. I don't care that much about the hd as I plan on adding my own SSD.

Currently I'm using an old Dell vostro 3550 with an SSD and it's up to the task but the screen is low res and damaged.

My budget is less than 500 and hopefully a lot less.


I'm looking at the following two laptops:

The specs on these, apart from the HD, look ok to me but I'd like to get a second opinion. I'd also consider more laptops closer to 500 if the upgrade is big enough.

Any advice is much appreciated.

The first is marked as dented, whereas the others are just marked as "certified refurbished". The spec of the 15-5570 is significantly better imo. Much better processor. The 8th generation intel processors are a significant step up from previous generations and I would think this is the one to go for. It's worth the extra cost.

The A10-9600P is a pretty bad CPU in comparison. Similar to an older generation i3. That i5-8250 would be more than double the speed.
