    Hello everyone,

looking for some feedback, currently i am with virgin broadband, cant say anything bad about the down and up speeds im getting but what i can complain is how often some of the devices disconnects and cannot connect again to the wifi until a reboot is done on the horizon box which is very frustrating.

today i received an offer from Vodafone broadband, savings are significant which is making me consider moving to them but more important is that i need reliable service

is anyone here that have Vodafone that could give some feedback?

    Thank you

If you are having issues with the wifi on the Horizon box, you can ask Virgin Media to decouple the broadband from the Horizon box and give yo a separate modem

    Thank you for the reply.

couple months ago customer support suggested that however when the sent the new router they sent a new horizon box, which didn't fix anything.

im not tied in to any contract, wondering how is Vodafone service, is it reliable?

Asking what Vodafone is like is a bit like asking what the bus service is like. It’s entirely dependant on the eir come line coming into the house, and that varies massively from address to address.

If you’re staying with Virgin, you need to get the white modem hub.

If you’re seriously considering Vodafone, then ask a few neighbours if they have Sky/eir/Vodafone as all will be basically the same.

Eir are doing an offer for unlimited broadband, €35 for 6 months and then €40 for 6 months, 12 month contract. Tempted by it myself as I have Sky broadband and can’t get Virgin in new place.

Ask them to send you the Hub 3.0 router for your BB.

    Vodafone uses Huawei Routers.

I'm not so sure, which is the bigger evil. But Vodafones router is only beaten by the one that Eir is supplying .... which is the same model :)

Having said that, you don't want either. What you have is better.

Please follow, what people said above. Moving to Vodafone will add additional problems.

    /M
