Hey so im 18, have been looking for a job for the past year now, not a single response, at first i tried to get a job that i would find at-least somewhat bearable but at this point im so tired of rejections that i will pretty much do anything. dont care about pay, minimum wage is enough. i just want to be able to start life and become independant, anybody know of any entry level no experience jobs in the donegal/sligo area?

How about the Leitrim/Sligo area? There is a job fair in the LandMark Hotel in Carrick on Shannon this Friday

ive been to one of those before (not sligo but derry) and nothing thats offered there i would be qualified, the only kind of job i could do is on the level of waiter or cashier and those seem to literally not exist in my area

I was in your boots before. Just picked up the yellow pages and asked if they were looking for a labourer... painters, carpenters, cabinet makers, landscapers. Youll probably need some type of safety cert if your on a building site but small domestic jobs should be grand.

Looks like you need to do a course of some sort.

Could try the large waste collection companies. Would be a starting point, maybe a job on site, or as part of a crew on a truck.

Don't know if it's the same in your neck of the woods, but in Dublin there are agencies that take on casual unskilled workers. You could be helping on a removal van two days and in a bread factory three days. It varies.

    Best of luck with it.

If you won't to get a job in IT would you not try and get skilled in the area by starting certs ?.

Go to college?. Would you not look at doing a PLC ?.

As i work in IT and 95% of us in the office have a LV 8 degree or higher.
