If you do a PLC course for 1 year and get awarded a grant from SUSI and then get a CAO level 8 course With a 4 year duration and get awarded grant from SUSI - do you get it for the course duration (5 years in total plc+cao) or only for 4 years in total (like it was years ago)??

    TIA

If the PLC is level 7 or below, which presumably it is, as its a PLC, then yes. The main thing is you have to show progression, as in you can't repeat the same level course. If you do a degree that's longer then 3/4 years e.g. Medicine, dentistry, veterinary etc. they qualify as well.

You still need to meet all of Susi's other requirements though like income level etc.

    Simply, Yes.
