Air con repair

    Hi guys

So last year my air con went on my 5 year old car. Apparently a stone has hit the radiator which runs the air con causing the refrigerant to leak out. Got quoted 926 euro at a main dealer for repair. Was told the whole dash has to come out is this correct? Thought the radiator was at the front of the car even for the air con.

Would this be out of the realms of an indie garage?

    Thanks

Heater matrix might have been damaged after the gas ran out which would be the reason for the dash out. Depending on the car that could be a good or bad price.

I had to get the air con radiator replaced in my car and it was nearly €800 or in, €400 for radiator and €370 fitting, as they had to take apart the front of the car to replace the radiator. Taking the dash out is going to be expensive in any car.
