ASL op. for Aer Lingus and EI flight time changes

    - Aer Lingus flights EI72/73 and EI48/49 ( Belfast-Faro-Belfast / Belfast-Malaga-Belfast) being sold on the EI Website as "operated by ASL"

    - Early AMS EI603 being sold as a first leg connection flight to the early TAs Boston (ei137) and Chicago (ei123), only missing the early JFK (EI105) also excluding any possibility of bringing back the overnighiting of an aircraft at AMS for connections as mentioned last year

-(From other aviation forums) Rumour of an end to the LHR early departure by Aer Lingus / late Dublin-Heathrow legs , by using British Airways and the EI codeshare to operate these flights although not confirmed and flights still for sale until next year (ei149 and ei151)

    - Early FCO landing time also brought back earlier in order to feed more Atlantic flights

    EI403 FCO 11:15 - DUB 13:35 - Actual landing time

EI403 FCO 11:10 - DUB 13:20 - New Landing time in Dublin from the 27th Oct onwards

Yeah I’d heard mentioned that ASL will do the Belfast sun routes this summer, frees up an additional A320, although I’m not sure what for

Hopefully more routes, it's not good to be stagnant in a growing market, and a lack of growth on their SH side won't do much for growing transfer traffic to LH.

Interlining would be an obvious solution here

Not unless they have a different plan.......

Not sure how likely this will be.

Still doesn't address the first point, stagnation in a growing market. Simply focusing on long haul is in essence putting all your eggs in one basket, and if the US market was to suddenly fail, isn't that the airline gone under?

No one aircraft has quite the reputation on here that she has - the Flightradar/ATC threads during some severe weather many, many years ago were the formation there.

When is this starting out of BHD?

Speaking as someone very familiar with the aircraft it is a cracking aircraft. Not many B737CL's as good as it.

I flew on the lovely EI-STA in 2016, fine flight (5 hours), plane looks dated but far from knackered, overall it was a perfect flight, nothing at all to complain about with the aircraft. Being honest there wouldnt be much in it between a brand new Ryanair 737-800NG and EI-STA.

Edit: Other than on the way back, one of the cabin crew told is our arrival time into Dublin would be an hour earlier than it was, and had to come back on the radio and clarify, much to the dismay of passengers. Of course I had copped on as we were over the Alps with apparently 30mins to go ;)

I will never forget the first time that I saw EI-STA.

It used to have a ( for me ) unforgetable paint job

    http://www.irelandaviation.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/04/169-EI-STA.jpg

    Superb for marketing

It was changed a few years ago to a plain just another plane paint job

Some prefer it like this. I think its a shame:mad:

    Enjoy your hols :)
