Jimbo, I’ve checked that. It’s showing epg info, with a blank screen. However, I also checked the channel on Saorview where it’s also off air, with the epg stating that it’s returning at 9am on Monday.

Maybe it is removed from Sky BECAUSE it has a blank screen.  This often happens with low-budget Asian channels that fall off air and Sky remove them and put them back up when they go back on air.

    Strange.  Thanks

Another thought.  I wonder if it is off air because of the weather and power cut?   I just checked the Oireactas website which is still working but seems all the feeds are down.  Usually all these feeds run all the time with a caption out of hours but even though you can still press the play button it just sits there with a wheel going round in the centre.

So maybe there is no power currently at Leinster House?  We'll have to wait until Monday to be sure.

Saorview feed looks as if it is on a Philips test card.  It does not broadcaast on 9 East edcept in the morning (I think).  Maybe someone can confirm that?

    Thanks

FG spent all the money on 2040 campaign promoting their own election candidates.

It had to come out of some budget.
    :)

Yes I got the joke.  There is a philips test card on Saorview aparently.  Is this still on a blank screen on 11.836 H?

Will be interesting to see what happens in the morning.

    Thanks

It had disappeared from Saorsat also earlier (although you could still tune it in there was just a black screen so no signal).
However, there is a Logo / Id screen up on Saorsat now.

Can you screen grab that?  Or is it just the logo of the channel?  No idea when it is coming back on?

A bit rudimentary with the phone...

All I get is a black screen on Saorsat. Maybe they didn't pay their transmission fees or perhaps the management from CH4 has taken it over
    :)

Strange that you are getting a blank screen when I am not - maybe it has retuned?

It's always blank on Saorview at weekends. That is nothing new.

The difference this time is the Oireachtas TV slate has been replaced by a test card for whatever reason.

I wonder if the channel has been removed from Sky due to a disagreement over carriage fees and if this is having some effect on the Saorview feed? Coincidence maybe.

The test card has been showing for the past few weekends now.

The test card has been showing for the past few weekends now.

RTÉ's arrangement with the Oireachtas only covers weekdays in any case.

    Working on Saorview again

There was never a problem with it on Saorview.

Oireachtas TV broadcasts 24/7 on Sky and Virgin Media

Tithe an Oireachtais broadcasts on Saorview which is Monday - Friday only from 9am - Midnight and broadcasts a slate when off air, recently as already mentioned there has been a test card with R na G audio at the weekends

The issue was last Friday the channel was removed by Sky and added back on Monday. Saorview and Virgin were not affected
