Some great looking clearances by Connacht - making the most of the altitude.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Most cohesive our back 3 has looked all year. Putting in a great shift in those conditions

    Super, super kick TOH.

Pressure on now, get some possession in Cheetah's half. Up the lads.

Denis Buckley? More like Denis Bollocksedly

James Cannon? More like James Can'trun

Ah that was a superman turnover from Muldoon... wasted by Blade. What a shame.

These commentators are great to listen to. Very knowledgeable and not biased. They're no Stuart Barnes anyway...

Very unlucky Buckley tripped and fell on the wrong side

Connacht could tire here - altitude must be draining.

Too late to pull the maul down, you can't pull it down once its formed and moving, has to be while its forming.

EDIT: Ah sorry you meant the scrum, it was all over the place, not surprised it went against Connacht.

    Why is Buckley still on???
    He must be exhausted.

Another poor lineout but we get away with that one.

We're losing multiples per game... so poor.

I meant the penalty when Muldoon picked it off the back of a Connacht Scrum.

This is very second test Ireland SA tour 2016 right now

All these scrums in their half are working a blinder to kill time. Obviously not intentional but still

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

    Ah come on

Think Connacht have blown this - discipline was crucial there.

    Harsh ending.

LBP is a good result considering Cheetahs' home form. Pity that the win was snatched away st the death.

Did the ref move the penalty in?

Line out penalty goes to the 15

Losing is never a good result especially when you're struggling to hold onto the play off spot.

Penalty from line out is 15 meters in I believe? Could be wrong though

    That's a sickener.

Dire reffing for the scrum penalty. Called use it, it's out, play on, penalty. Err, what? Make up your mind man.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,442 ✭✭✭its_phil

Don’t like that use it call and penalty after it and a European ref wouldn’t call that. Never put it in the judges hand if you’re looking for a result so fair play Cheetahs.

Don’t like brave defeats but that was a huge effort out there. A lot more confident about Gloucester after that

Great game. Connacht should have closed that out but it is something they struggle with. You always know they will give you a 2nd chance.

Great to see a game not blighted by box kicks.

Carty is a frustrating player. He can do so much so well but just needs to be more consistent.

Connacht need to sort their lineout and their breakdown clearing out could improve.

As for TOH he really should be in the Irish team. Come a world cup we will have dry ground and probably dry weather. He was superb tonight.
