Question about NCT

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question - don't know the ins and outs of an NCT & need to make sure of something!

I have a 2000 Golf which I'm sticking in for an NCT shortly. The seatbelt light/chime doesn't work on it - when I start the car the seatbelt light shows but regardless of whether you have your seatbelt on or not it won't display once the car is started or sound the chime.

Would I be fine with sticking it in for an NCT (and passing) with this broke or will I need to fix it? Car is structurally sound itself :D

As long as the seat belt clicks in and snaps locked when pulled hastily, that is all that matters for NCT.

My guess would be if the seatbelt light comes on in the dash when the key is turned and then goes out (along with all the other warning lights) you will probably be ok with it.

Brilliant! Saves me a pig's job of replacing the sensor for it.

All of them go out, thank God! Cheers :)
