Anybody change over to Version 2 of Farm Flo it seems limited in its stock control . I liked version 1 because I could enter operations from the phone app but on two you have to go to the browser .

Old thread but didn't want to start new one.

Have Kingswood here. I pay 145 a year for beef and grass package. It's another 100 if you want the mobile app. Not worth it to me. Tried the herdwatch on trial. Simple app but have no grass mgt so at 180 a year it's crazy for what it is so stuck to kingswood. Agrinet I think is probably the best of them.

Herdwatch subscription is up. Quoted €244. Had a problem with the app this year which was no fault of mine and spent a good bit of time on the phone to the Department/Herdwatch and a buyer to get it sorted. Herdwatch have dropped the price to €135. I contacted Agrinet and they quoted me €60 based on my cow numbers. Should I just switch to Agrinet or another app?

I dropped herdwatch this time .

I haven't superscribed to any other just yet software just yet

for the moment using the LSL app for remedies and ai/breeding

    https://www.livestock-live.com/Home/FarmManagementSoftwareApp

not as user friendly as herdwatch , but I'm not giving them the guts of 250euro

herdwatch offered a 10% discount but I declined

They might update it a bit sometime. I think they are presently flat out getting marts set up on line.

Doing the job for now anyhow.

I think I'll dump herdwatch too, I honestly don't use enough features to justify it. I see that calf reg app is now live too. The herd movements from herdwatch were handy but not a deal breaker for me.

I think you can do movements with the LSL app.

as I said it's not on par with herdwatch but for a freebie it's not bad

Just cancelled herdwatch there, they must be feeling the pressure to keep people on as they tried to offer me a 50% discount to stay on for another year. Never had an issue with the service at all but when all I use it for can be done for free, it was hard to justify it.

Herdwatch were just on to me as well just now. Looking for €160 instead of €244. Pointed out a couple of flaws with the app. For example if a calf is 41 days old on Herdwatch and you brought him to the mart the same day, that calf will be sent home as its 42 days old on the department's and marts system. If you register a calf at 11.59 pm that calf is 1 day old according to the Department but is 0 days old according to Herdwatch. I pointed this out to Herdwatch on a couple of occasions but nothing changed.
A feature I would have liked to see on Herdwatch was to calculate calves ages on the day of a sale. We have a calf sale on a Monday in Castleisland and every Thursday in Gortatlea. Yet every spring I am out with a pen and paper trying to calculate what date and mart calves will have to be sold so they won't breach the 42 days. I know this has changed to 120 days. Why isint it possible that you could type a date into the app and it will flag calves that will be overage on that said date.

I have Herdwatch since it started. Never yet paid the full price or anything like it.
Last your my renewal was in March. I got a 10% off the asking price and cover for 18 months. My renewal this year will be in sept.
