I am looking at buying a cheap used car. I have narrowed it down to two which i think are both decent options. Does anyone have any advice on what they think is the better option? Both have about 6 months until NCT due and both have service history.

Is there anything i should look out for/be careful of with these 2 cars? I will be giving them both a very good inspection. Any help/advice would be much appreciated :) thanks guys x

Honda Fit is japanese import so check insurance before buying it.

Jazz 1.3 is a from that era is fine car with a CVT gearbox. There were complaints about CVT gearbox during take off when they are worn so check the operation of gearbox carefully. They are not cheap due to good reliability in general.

Fiesta is a fine car in manual guise. 1.4 petrol automatic gearbox is a single clutch robotized clutch type of automatic which rolls backwards on hillstarts and still needs a clutch change(not as cheap as a manual gearbox clutch change though).

I would also look for Yaris 1.3 automatic up to 2005. They are most reliable small autos from that era in my opinion. 1.0lt automatics are japanese import and called vitz in case you stumble upon them.
