Are you talking fitting yourself or getting one fitted?

    Moved out from DIY forum,

Check with Mr Windscreen on Tuam Rd, or Ennis Windscreen & Exhaust Centre on Carmody Street

    Have you fully comp insurance??

Is it worth paying for if not covered.

97 would be in scrap state with cost of replacing.

I'd doubt someone would have fully comp on a 97 car.

I had one replaced on a 01 polo a couple of years ago and it was 130 euro.

Also, I only have 3rd party f&t on my car and glass breakage is covered.

    You never know....

    Doubtful yes.

Is it worth doing on a 97 I wouldn't think so.

. My polo in mint condition is better condition than most newer cars 2 small hardly noticeable marks but other than that it's mint cheapest I got was €145 for the windscreen

I think if it's coming in below €200 fitted it ain't too bad.

You could source one from a scrap yard but may have trouble finding someone to fit it. But for a new one the prices you are being quoted are not that bad to be honest when you exclude the value of the car.

The 130 cost was with Autoglass. And they came out to my place to fit it. Idk if it'd be cheaper if you brought the car to them.

Yes I tried the scrap yard €60 for the windscreen fitted but now they don't have one better off getting new one I suppose €145 isn't bad
