Could ring your local dealer and find out. Skoda salesman told me recently that they would not cover imports. Don't know how true that is though

I'm nearly certain the 5 year Hyundai warranty is transferable down here.

5 year warranty is from the manufacturer. I know in other industries any authorised dealer have to honour products purchased in different jurisdictions. Don't see why this would differ with vehicles.

I bought a Hyundai ix35 up north and I had no problems with dealers down here. My car is still under warranty.

The speedo primarily in mph might be a pain for some people, it wouldn't bother me personally, otherwise you should get a nice discount buying up there.
