Stamped concrete

Hi

I got a stamped concrete patio done in October. Great job but it’s slippy in the wet.

Is there any sealer I could put down now to make it a bit better?

A sealer probably wont help, you need an anti-slip coating.

The only problem with that is it’s paint so will lose the colour.

Sealer mixed through with some grit would be an option.


Also as it was installed in Oct, i am guessing it prob has moss on it.


Spray it down with pressure washer, the moss will make it very slippy

No moss yet thankfully.

You should be able to get clear versions also.

I wouldnt add grit to sealer, it wont be strong enough to hold it.
(Most sealers are absorbed into the concrete so the grit will be left sitting on top)

Maybe just spread some grit and work it into the surface to roughen it a bit.
