I don't know how to attach the story but i read this morning in the Independent that the girl caught with a loaded gun last year just got a suspended sentence,
Now I don't know the girl or the full story but surely this sums up the Irish court system , Someone who was happy to be part of a plan to Murder and transport the gun is let away scott free,
The Judges in this country should be ashamed and no wonder people have no fear of being caught, cause when they are they are allowed walk away like nothing happened,
The Garda get press here but again they stop something and the Judges just let the person walk away ,
This is also one of todays headlines "Man with previous drink driving convictions who killed teenage boy while over the limit escapes prison sentence"
    Its madness

MOD EDIT - The following is a link to the story which may give the thread a bit more background

She served seven months in jail. She was sentenced to three years, but the outstanding two years and five months were suspended due to her "personal circumstances".

Don't agree with such a lenient sentence, but she was still in prison for seven months.

I don't know why anyone is surprised by this. The streets are crawling with violent criminals, many of whom have been kicked through our cardboard criminal justice system and let out after 5 minutes. The courts refuse to deter criminals, thus the prisons are packed and the endless stream of thugs continues.

Ah, we can't be giving women the same prison sentences as men. The feminists might complain!

She had a loaded gun in the buggy beside her three year old kid. Class act.
