Strange one with our Nissan march/micra, the digital odometer is stuck, so is the trip reading reading zero.

Everything else is working fine from what I can see.

    Any suggestions?

More than likely a fault in the circuit board on the speedo like broken solder.

Swapping out for another with similar mileage might be the easiest option.

That's what I was thinking, I'm right that the odometer won't pick up the actual mileage from the ECU?

Yeah, kinda, the speedo cluster is getting a signal from the gearbox, the speedo is getting it but the odometer isn’t. The ECU doesn’t know the mileage as such, it’s stored in the cluster based on the pulses going to the speedo which represent the speed. That’s why swapping the clusters gives you whatever mileage was on the donor car.

If it’s a March, you might need to get a speedo from another March, auto and manual may have different speedos too.
