Recommend a sun holiday for 3 generations of women

    Hi,

I am looking to take my 75 year old mother and 15 year old daughter for a week's holiday to the sun in June.

I am wondering if anyone could recommend a good resort and possibly apartments. Budget is €1500.

I will definitely go the self catering route (to keep costs down) but would plan to eat out every night. Plenty of sun sitting out beside a nice pool during the day with easy access to entertainment and restaurants in the evening a must (not too far of a walk).

    Any recommendations?

I'd say June might be a bit too hot for the 75 year old if you venture too far south so maybe somewhere in Brittany?

That depends on the 75 year old. My 84 year old mother LOVES the heat and we are bringing her to somewhere just south of Malaga in June. She would kill us if we brought her to Brittany.
Took her to Lanzarote last year and she loved it. Some parts there are very hilly though so had to ensure we stayed right down by the sea so it was flat. and no steps to apartment.

A friend did something similar in menorca. Nice restaurants and beaches yet quiet if you need it.

I know a lot of people knock it, but Torremolinos is a great spot since most of the 'beautiful young things' have moved up Marbella direction.
Budget self-catering 30 yards from the beach. Every thing on the flat and beside the lift up to the town. https://www.bajondillo.com/ Free transfers from and to the airport if you book on their site.
Could be quite hot in June.

Playa de las Americas is a great spot. U have 3 resorts connected by prom in 3 miles Los Christianos, playa de las Americas and Costa Adeje. Its very flat, great for shopping. Take a look at Tenerife Royal Garden apartments rights beside las visas beach, the nicest beach Imo. Few nice bars on La Paz nearby. I have been the last 2 years and just find it more vibrant than lanzarote.

Choose some quiet hotel in Croatia or Greece

I've never been to Torremolines but my folks used to go a few times a year when they could still travel & always enjoyed it so it could be a good option, short flight, short transfer from Malaga, established resort so I'd say it could well suit three generations
