    Hi,

I plan to import an lexus is 300h 2015 with 50k miles on it. I will be purchasing from a lexus garage and it's "approved pre owned". The garage is saying that the warranty cannot transfer to ireland.

Was anyone else in a similar situation and get a different outcome?

Is there any other warranty that can cover the car with lexus ireland?

    Thanks,
    Paul

Only the manufacturers warranty transfers which as far as I know is 3 years. Lexus backed warranty definitely doesn’t transfer.

Uk is only up the road ? So could Lexus Belfast not service it and maintain warranty .

What are you worried about going wrong?
If it's the hybrid system, get a service here and you get a hybrid check free and a 15'000km guarantee.

    Tip for you.
Have your Speedo in mph going in and you get a 10'000 mile guarantee.
    So an extra 1'000km guarantee.

Hi just wondering if you had any luck confirming the hybrid system warranty on a uk imported lexus hybrid can be enforced in Ireland if you get a lexus health check here?

    Many thanks!

Lexus Galway are saying they won’t do the health check unless you’re getting a service at the same time.

Of course, but you used to be able to get it for €60 before.

Out of interest, how much do you pay for a major/minor service?

The full service was 360 and the intermediate 165.
You got a "free"(and. I use that word loosely) hybrid check and valet with both and a, however many point check as well it think.
There may be something else as well though.

I don't mind paying that as tax is cheap and with the health check thrown in, it's acceptable enough imo.

However, they have put up the prices since and I think my next full will be 420 and the intermediate after it will be 240.
Now that's taking the piss alright.

Yes, that’s why I’m asking. Lexus Galway’s excuse was “jaysus you got it very cheap last time”
    What’s essentially an oil change.

Yeah I was thinking of doing the intermediate ones myself and pay 60 for a health check.
Going by what you said I'll have to rethink things.
I don't like the way they just jacked up the price by so much.
