Maybe not. Tax is 20% of those income figures. But then there are a number of credits to be deducted from that tax figure - people typically have €3.3k but there are a number of other potential credits if a person is incapacitated for example. Revenue have a list of credits on their website . In Ireland only the rich pay income tax!

It's impossible to tell you whether or not it's right or wrong on the basis of the information provided.

Are the figures that you provided weekly, monthly or yearly totals?

Do they relate to this year, last year or to 1066?

Yearly totals from 2017. the Duke of Normandy hasn't yet provided a P60 for 1066

    Income for 2017.

    You:

    Illness benefit 5,736
    Salary 1 7,413
    Salary 2 14,500
    Income for year: 27,649 Tax paid 5.29 + 1522

    27,640 @ 20% = €5,529.8 PAYE due.

    Spouse:

    Salary 1 5,715
    Salary 2 17,789
Income for year 23,504 Tax: 1409.04 Tax: 68.59

    23,504 @ 20% = €4,700.8 PAYE due.

So, the total PAYE due on your combined income is €10,231

You've already paid a total of €3005 and your combined total tax credits are €6,600, meaning that you appear to owe the taxman a further €626!
