Lads any chance of getting a few more of these. Waiting 20 minutes for one on Camden street going home today about 15 past 4.
I haven’t worked in town in years so it’s a long time since I got a bus regularly. I used to get a 27 every ten minutes.

There's supposed to be a new timetable in the works for the future apparently.

In January it was being talked that a new schedule had been proposed and would take place in coming weeks or months. At that point the new schedule had not been presented to unions to vote on, not sure if that's happened in the meantime or not.

Any improvement to existing Dublin Bus services will be limited until the recently tendered routes get transferred to Go-Ahead. With the surplus buses, DB will be able to make a pretty serious enhancement to its remaining routes.

The process should be completed around this time next year.

There was an addition of approx 30 buses at the end of last year for fleet expansion which have not all been deployed yet and the fleet will also slightly grow before the Go-Ahead operations start in September.

Obviously though later in the year there will be even more room for expansion since despite the fact DB are losing approx 100 buses worth of work, they will not be losing that many buses.

Would welcome any improvements in this! It's not uncommon for one of the every twenty minute departures to be cancelled in the afternoon

You'd worry that the 14 might not be first on the list for an enhancement of 30 buses. Even 100 buses for how many routes - averaging one bus a route added maybe?

Peak time, usually morning time, in one direction on major corridors services usually get added first.

14 is certainly on the list - it was one of the routes mentioned in the recent Workplace Relations Commission meeting in the middle of January between SIPTU, the NBRU and Dublin Bus, but at that point the company had not yet devised a schedule to give to the unions that could be balloted on.

I have no idea what the current status of it is but I assume it cannot be that far away.
