Hair removal cream for head?

Lads, I have been thinking about this for years but I think I'm finally going to go through with it. I have been wet shaving my head 3-4 times a week for the last 10 years, I hate stubble on my head so I'm going to try and go down the veet/nair route.

Has anyone tried it or anything similar? Both boxes say not to use on your head, what is the reasoning for this? I've seen videos of men using it on YouTube with seemingly no repercussions or adverse effects.

For anyone that has done it in the past, how long would you usually get out of one "treatment"?

I don't think there is any real way to permanently remove hair from the head.

Oh I know it wouldn't be permanent but if I only had to do it once a week it would be less hassle than how often I'm shaving it.

No mate, I've been skull shaving myself (electric shaver) and alas I could find no easier way but to do it every night. What I'm doing now is plain shaving to 0.5mm every few days - I know you don't want any stubble, but I don't think there is any other solution unfortunately.

Foil shaver...quicker than wet shave and no nasty cuts every so often. You'd still have to do every second day or so though.

I was using a Dual Foil Flex and Pivot (cutter in between foils) and that gets pretty close without much in the line of cuts.

What foil shavers would you recommend?

I have this one. But have also been recommended this one.

Both were recommended by a barber.

I find them as close as a wet shave.

Decapitation is usually permanent I believe:D

You could always get it laser'd I suppose.

Unusual problem to have, it's normally the opposite!

I'm using the Wahl Balding clippers and find them good but wouldn't mind getting a bit tighter shave but don't particularly want to wet shave.

Removing hair with a cream doesn't last any longer than shaving, both are just removing the hair at skin level. Your regrowth period will be the exact same. To get a longer hair-free period you need to remove the hair by the root. So, waxing, sugaring, threading, etc. Not sure that's a road you'd consider going down.
